Seffton 4 - Bowdon Killer Bee's 1

The day did not start as it really should have done with a number of players droping out. However a side was finally put togetherand we left to meet the opposition. After finally finding the ground the Kiler Bees were ready to play. The game turned out to be very tough with Seffton showing their capability to play on a grass pitch. The match went on with Seffton having the majority of the scoring chances but were stopped by some impresive saves by keeper Phil. What few chances that Bowdon had were not really capitalised upon by the forwards and it was left to the skipper to fire in Bowdons only goal of the match. Seffton looked more comfortable with the ball and proceeded to score 4 well worked goals.

Ed - Things to note:

  • I can run faster than Neil pushes the ball out from a short corner (y'all know what that means)... Wonder why Neil never mentioned it? Heh! Heh!
  • Keeper Phil made more saves this game than his entire National League career (he is 108 years old)
  • Keeper Phil has a real Rolex. Coo! If he can afford that he can afford to buy the captains beers! And if he can't afford the beers he should sell the bloody watch so he can!...
  • Keeper Phil bought his Rolex with the winnings from the World Baked Potatoe Scoffing championships, way back in '98. He still practices sometimes...
  • Sticky plays better with broken limbs. This information has been passed on to his work colleagues in case it has the same effect there...
