West Derby 0 - Bowdon Killer Bees 7As we watch the tumbleweed roll down the pitch, waiting for Dave Taylor's match report, we cast our minds back to another successful Killer Bee attack against West Derby. Despite being a man down (partly due to a lack of Bowdon players available, but mostly down to me counting Jonny twice in selection . Well, Janet did tell me he was the equivalent of two men! ) the extra space seemed to suit us, and the traditional Bees tactic of running into each other was noticeable by its absence. No bizarre weather this time, and by the end of the game Yokker and Gary had notched up two goals apiece, with Dave Phillips, Dave Taylor and (wait for it) Giles getting a further goal each. Most noteable in that Giles was late turning up (as usual), but played a stormer of a game down the left wing, thus guaranteeing himself a torrent of abuse for the rest of the season, now we have all seen what he can do when he wants to! A fun game and a great result. El Quiffsto |
